Full Day

Level 3 Award in Safeguarding and protecting children, young people or vulnerable adults

This full day course can be delivered directly to you in-house as a group (maximum of 12 people) or by individuals who wish to join mixed ad-hoc venues. Please contact us for more information of where these courses are held.

Participants must be 18 years or over in order to attend.

This is a registered course through Ofqual and participants will receive certification through Nuco Training on completion of an assessment at the end of the training.

Duration: 9.00am-5.00pm (timings are flexible but the course takes 7 hours to complete)

Level 3 Award in Safeguarding and protecting children, young people or vulnerable adults

This essential training will guide all participants through:

  • Understanding the principles of safeguarding and why we do it
  • Identifying key elements of the law on safeguarding
  • The protection of practitioners who receive allegations and complaints against themselves
  • Understanding how to safeguard and protect children, young people or vulnerable adults
  • Knowing how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child, young person or vulnerable adult has been abused.
  • The different characteristics and types of abuse
  • What actions to take in response to evidence of abuse
  • Relevant pathways of reporting
  • Delivering safe and good practice
  • Identifying bad practice
